RELENTLESS pressures faced by nurses working throughout the pandemic is causing mass trauma with many senior staff quitting the profession early, a leading union has warned.

Novant Health tested nearly half a million people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began. It has treated nearly 10,000 COVID-19 patients. But after the holiday season led to a spike in positive cases, it said it s running out of room.“Our model suggests that at least for the next 14 days that we’re gonna be at about 90 and 100% bed capacity, said Dr. David Priest, Novant s infectious disease specialist.
