SEVIERVILLE â The Sevierville Commons Association has a new leader to help the organization promote the cityâs downtown area. Ashley Burnette-Davis was recently named as the groupâs new executive director. She previously worked with Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic and continues to run a HR/marketing firm in Sevierville and a non-profit medical clinic in Hamblen County. She is a graduate of Carson-Newman and has a masterâs degree from Louisiana State University. âThe Sevierville Commons Association board of directors is thrilled to have Ashley join our cause in revitalizing downtown Sevierville,â said Austin Williams, chairman of the Sevierville Commons Association. âAshleyâs passion for downtown Sevierville paired with her experience in working with nonprofits, event planning and grant writing will help to take the Sevierville Commons Association to the next level. SEVIERVILLE â The Sevierville Farmers Market is headed back to Bruce Street now that construction has decreased downtown, but some vendors want the temporary accommodations in the Municipal Complex to become permanent. The Farmers Market, hosted by the Sevierville Commons Association, made the move in August 2019 while the Downtown Streetscape project was underway to give vendors a temporary home rather than shutting the weekly event down for more than a year. âWe do plan to move it back to the downtown area just to continue to bring more people on different days. I hate that itâs conflicting with everybodyâs schedule and commitments, but like I said we are certainly in no way against them having their own market on Fridays,â said Austin Williams, chairman of the Sevierville Commons Association, during the Sevierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting Monday evening. ....
