The Hope Raffle benefitting Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic

SEVIERVILLE â Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic is hosting their next fundraising event, The Hope Raffle.
This is the inaugural year for this event. The Hope Raffle is a reverse raffle and it will take place in person Aug. 13 at The River Place venue, 329 River Place, Sevierville, TN 37862. There will be a social hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m. with the reverse raffle starting at 6:30 p.m. The raffle tickets are $200 each and each ticket will allow two people into the event. Commons Association hires new executive director

SEVIERVILLE â The Sevierville Commons Association has a new leader to help the organization promote the cityâs downtown area.
Ashley Burnette-Davis was recently named as the groupâs new executive director. She previously worked with Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic and continues to run a HR/marketing firm in Sevierville and a non-profit medical clinic in Hamblen County. She is a graduate of Carson-Newman and has a masterâs degree from Louisiana State University.
âThe Sevierville Commons Association board of directors is thrilled to have Ashley join our cause in revitalizing downtown Sevierville,â said Austin Williams, chairman of the Sevierville Commons Association. âAshleyâs passion for downtown Sevierville paired with her experience in working with nonprofits, event planning and grant writing will help to take the Sevierville Commons Association to the next level. Now that the trams are operating again to Ober Gatlinburg…County Days are coming back to the popular tourist attraction. Starting next Monday June 7th and going till Friday June 11th all residents & employees from Cocke, Jefferson, & Sevier counties can grab a ride up to Ober Gatlinburg for just a $5 donation to the Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic…with all proceeds going to that clinic which provides medical, dental and counseling for Sevier County residents who do not have medical insurance. Now, you have to be over 16 years of age and have a valid ID from one of those counties…or a recent paycheck stub that shows you work in one of those counties. That $5 donation will get you that ride up and back but also get you a Premium Activity Wristband that lets you enjoy many of the attractions at Ober Gatlinburg. ....

December 2020 marks the release of Pastor Arne Walker s third book (former pastor at Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake). The title for this book is Spirit Promptings.
A highlight of this book is photography by nationally famous nature photographer Ken Jenkins of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Ken shares several pictorial essays as well.

Spirit Promptings gets its title because each Public Pulpit (published in The Mountain Press) grows out of his prayer walk. He never sat down and pondered something to write. The book includes over 150 titles. ....
