Beaconsfield Coroners Court A teenager with a dream of playing football and going to university died after jumping in front of a train after hearing “voices” during a psychotic episode. Felipe Mugari, who was from Aylesbury, died aged 19 after he jumped onto the tracks at Aylesbury Railway Station on September 17, 2020. At an inquest into his death yesterday (Thursday) Beaconsfield Coroners Court heard how Felipe suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and would hear the “voice of god” during infrequent psychotic episodes. The court heard how during these episodes he felt “compelled” to act on what these auditory hallucinations told him to do.

District 518 booster announce scholarship winners
WORTHINGTON The Worthington ISD 518 Sports Boosters Club is proud to support young student athletes in pursuing the combination of collegiate athletic and academic pursuits. All student athletes who have secured future athletic participation on the collegiate level are eligible to apply regardless of the sport(s) they participate in.
The club is extending two $500 scholarships to senior student athletes who exemplify effort, dedication, commitment and spirit to their team, school and community. This year’s winners are Maranda Thier, daughter of Mark and Maria, and Sophie Wietzema, daughter of Troy and Angela.

AURORA- Three North Woods athletes competing in the colors of the South Ridge Panthers took part in a quadrangular track meet on Thursday, April 29 at the Mesabi East sports complex.
Senior sprinter Joey Lakoskey had a hand in eight of the 56 points scored by the combined South Ridge/North Woods/Cherry girls squad. Lakoskey’s raced to a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.23 seconds, edged out of third by barely a tenth of a second by Hibbing’s Brynn Babich.
Lakoskey ran a strong third leg for the Panthers’ second-place 4x100 relay team, which clocked a time of 55.13 seconds. Other relay members included Kenna Ridge, Sophie Johnson, and Jaden Ellefson.
