Police following leads in murder of woman in Burnt Savannah Thursday, April 29, 2021
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica There has been no arrest so far but police say they are making progress in their investigations relating to the murder of 38-year-old Natesha Waite at Burnt Savannah, a few miles south west of Santa Cruz in early April.

Woman killed in Burnt Savannah Wednesday, April 07, 2021 SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth Police are probing the murder of a 38-year-old woman at her home in Burnt Savannah, a farming community a few miles south-west of Santa Cruz . The St Elizabeth police identified the victim as Natesha Waite, unemployed, of Bug Lane, Burnt Savannah. Inspector Sophia Daley, who represents the constabulary s Corporate Communications Unit in St Elizabeth, told the Jamaica Observer by telephone yesterday evening that “no motive has as yet been established” for the killing. Police say that about 9:15 am Waite was found by her son on the floor of her room in a pool of blood. She was pronounced dead at hospital. ....
It’s quiz time for pupils at four local schools under a project launched to tackle lockdown loneliness amongst the young. St Thomas’ Community Association is organising a schools quiz starting next Thursday (March 11) based on the TV programme University challenge. Four academies; The Link, Pegasus, St James and Beacon Hill will go head to head. Each school will put forward a team of five from years 9 and 10.
