"Frida Kahlo: Timeless" opened Saturday at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn with a look at a daring artist, a strong-willed personality, a pioneer to people with disabilities and a Mexican cultural force.
George Berlin designed and animated a Frida Kahlo video show that will be projected onto the massive facade of the former Merchandise Mart in Chicago in celebration of a retrospective of her works at the College of DuPage.
Beginning Saturday, there will be 26 Kahlo works plus much related material on view at the College of DuPage’s Cleve Carney Museum of Art, the largest collection of her work to be shown in the Chicago area since a 1978 Museum of Contemporary Art exhibition.
