Bellator is adding a top featherweight name to its roster.
Officials told MMA Fighting on Tuesday that Invicta FC champion Pam Sorenson (8-3) has signed a long-term contract to join Bellator’s 145-pound division. The announcement comes shortly after Sorenson wrote on Instagram that she had vacated her Invicta featherweight title and been granted her release from the promotion.
“I want to thank [Invicta FC President] Shannon Knapp and everyone at [Invicta FC] for all the opportunities I have been given. I have asked to be released to pursue other goals, and they have graciously granted it to me. I’ll forever be one of Invicta’s biggest supporters and I have nothing but love and respect for everyone there!”
