Retired LAPD detective filmed telling black teen 'go back to your cage you little monkey'


Video of the altercation in Santa Clarita, California, went viral this week 
It shows a man identified by authorities as John Motto, a former LAPD homicide detective, berating a young black man after a minor car accident
At one point Motto says: Go back into your little cage until the monkey controller gets here
Motto also repeatedly uses the n-word and claims that the other man said it first 
The LAPD confirmed Motto s identity and said he retired last May
Authorities are now reviewing 370 cases Motto was involved in over his 33 years with the department  ....

Alva J. Motto, 75, of South Plymouth, died Monday, January 4, 2021 at her home.  She was the wife of the late Manuel J. Motto.
Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gordon S. and Jean (Brandt) Russell.  Mrs. Motto received her RN/BSN degree and trained at Boston City Hospital.  She previously lived in Provincetown where she was the town nurse.  In 1980, she moved to Wareham, then South Plymouth where she raised her family.  She was nursing director at Tremont Nursing Home and Plymouth Nursing Home and several other area nursing homes.
Mrs. Motto was a devoted Catholic and parishioner at St. Patrick’s Church in Wareham.  She taught Faith Formation for many years at St. Margaret’s Church in Buzzards Bay.  She was also Cub Scout den mother and a dedicated “Sports Mom” and would always be at a game or practice for her kids. ....
