Filming on new surf drama
Barons is set to begin in NSW for ABC later this year.
Centering around the hedonistic world of surfing, the cutthroat culture of big business and the emotional rollercoaster of relationships, the eight-part drama features a group of brave but crazy, 20-something friends, who all have one thing in common – a love of the ocean and surfing.

Medical devices, masks and vaccines are among products that companies in Ireland have been encouraged to make to help fight Covid-19, with up to €200 million in State support announced last year.
An average of €1 million has been granted to individual companies, who were able to answer the call. We were facing closing or short time working, so we started making reusable face masks .

Adventure Bar Group takes first steps outside London heartland
Experiential cocktail bar company, the Adventure Bar Group, has unveiled a pair of landmark venues in Birmingham – its first steps beyond its London heartland.
The group now operates 12 sites across London and Birmingham, including branded bars Tonight Josephine, Bar Elba, Blame Gloria and The Escapologist.
Led by founders Thomas Kidd and Tobias Jackson, the Group debuted the first of two new sites on Monday 12 April with the launch of an outdoor bar and dining concept Luna Springs in Digbeth before the opening of second site, Tonight Josephine, in Birmingham’s city centre in May.
Last night, my wife and I watched another episode of the BBC television show,
Call the Midwife. In this segment, the doctor had to be away from the office because of an emergency, and his wife, who functioned as the receptionist, was running the clinic. When the patients realized the doctor was gone, they refused to let her help them because they were totally unaware that she had worked as a nurse for ten years. In their eyes, she was only a receptionist and they bolted for the door until a doctor or nurse was there. The next morning, the receptionist was dressed in a nurse uniform, and when she opened the door to let the clients in, they saw her as a professional medical caregiver, and accepted her expertise. Even though she was the same person, respect came with the right uniform.
Starz will premiere the limited series “
The Gloaming” on March 21st across all platforms. The network confirmed the premiere date with a first look trailer for the series, starring Emma Booth, Ewen Leslie, Martin Henderson, Aaron Pedersen, Rena Owen, Josephine Blazier, and Matt Testro.
Victoria Madden wrote and created the series, and serves as showrunner on the project. “The Gloaming” is a co-production with Madden’s Sweet Potato Films and John Molloy’s 2 Johns Productions, and ABC Signature.
The description reads, “When a woman is found brutally killed, the clues surrounding her death connect to murders both past and present. Political corruption and shady business dealings are soon entwined with sinister crimes and occult practices.
