Musicians, of course, have their own natural outlet for frustration. Justin Sullivan, frontman of Bradford band New Model Army, decided to deal with lockdown by finally making his long-put-off second solo album. “I found myself sitting on the sofa in my flat in Bradford and then at my partner’s place in Paris,” he says. “Within days, I picked up my guitar, went through notebooks where I jot down ideas for songs and started writing. And the songs came thick and fast in the first few weeks of the lockdown and soon I had 16. ....
