STEUBENVILLE One thing the COVID-19 pandemic brought to the forefront is the need for improved high-speed Internet access throughout Jefferson County.
Thursday, the Jefferson County commissioners and Mike Paprocki, executive director of the Brooke-Hancock-Jefferson Metropolitan Planning Commission, discussed how the county can make progress.

STEUBENVILLE The Jefferson County Port Authority discussed several ongoing projects at its monthly meeting Wednesday, the several of them are making positive progress.
Addressing the board of directors, participating both in person inside the Brooke-Hancock-Jefferson Metropolitan Planning Commission Conference Room and by video conference, Executive Director Robert Naylor detailed the status of the ongoing work with Bully Tools’ expansion and JSW Steel’s bonds among other topics.
According to Naylor, documents for the Bully Tools expansion project are “ready for finalization and execution.”
“That will be accomplished, hopefully, to have the final documents for approval and ratification at the next board meeting,” Naylor said.
