BERKLEY Three Berkley natives are proof that the drive for great accomplishments can t be confined by small town roots.
The emergency room at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston currently includes Laura Burke as an attending doctor who completed her residency there a decade ago and her brother Ethan Burke, who started as a doctor in residency, that is to say in training, there two weeks ago.
Fellow Berkley native William Fyfe is just graduating from the third-year as a doctor in residency in the same department.
Laura Burke said when Fyfe was starting his residency she didn t know that he too was a Berkley native until seeing his biography on the hospital residency website.

Lynch himself considers these his biggest accomplishments in Berkley.
He noted he might have retired a year earlier, except he realized Berkley schools would need guidance through the challenges the COVID pandemic would bring. When I started here in 2005, they didn t have very much technology in the classroom, he explained.
