Philadelphia men charged over bridge crash that killed Camden man


An investigation determined top speeds of 112 mph for Moore s car and 106 mph for Ramos vehicle, the statement said.
Moore and Ramos were racing toward Philadelphia on the bridge, which has a 45 mph speed limit, the statement said.
The narrow bridge has two westbound lanes and one for traffic heading to South Jersey, Assistant Burlington County Prosecutor Melissa O Mara said Friday at a detention hearing for Ramos.
Moore s car struck the passenger side of Ramos SUV, sending it into the path of Martinez vehicle, she said.
Ramos allegedly left his damaged vehicle and walked away from the crash scene.
He first asked another motorist to call his cell phone because he was unable to locate it in the wreckage, according to the statement. ....

Two Philadelphia men who were driving over 100 mph were charged with causing a deadly five-car crash last year on Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, authorities announced Tuesday.
Jonathan Ramos, 28, was charged with vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a fatal accident, causing death while driving with a suspended license and endangering an injured victim by leaving the scene without rendering aid, according to a joint statement from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Burlington County Bridge Commission.
He surrendered with his attorney Monday at the prosecutor’s office, authorities said. He remained lodged in in the Burlington County Jail and had a detention hearing scheduled for Friday. ....

2 Philadelphia men charged in deadly multi-vehicle crash on Tacony-Palmyra Bridge


PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) Two men from Philadelphia have been charged with causing a deadly crash which involved five cars.
John Ramos, 28, has been charged with Vehicular Homicide (Second Degree), Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident (Second Degree), Causing Death While Driving with a Suspended License (Third Degree) and Endangering an Injured Victim by Leaving the Scene without Rendering Aid (Third Degree).
Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said Ramos surrendered with his attorney on Tuesday at the Prosecutor s Office in Mount Holly.

Drivers hit 100 mph before fatal 5-car Tacony-Palmyra crash: cops


Two Philadelphia men who sped across the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge at speeds of more than 100 mph on Dec. 28, causing a fatal five-car crash, have been charged with homicide.
Jonathan Ramos, 28, and Brandon Moore, 23, were driving west without regard for the safety of other motorists, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.
According to the criminal complaint, surveillance video shows Moore s 2018 Dodge Charger waiting until Ramos  2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee passed the toll plaza.
Both vehicles sped and made lane changes into opposing traffic, according to the prosecutor.
Bridge surveillance shows Moore reaching 112 mph and striking the side of Ramos Jeep, which had reached 106 mph. Moore s Charger then hit a Honda Civic, killing its driver, Gerardo Francisco Perez Martinez, 35, of Camden. ....
