National Geographic is working on documentary about infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Dr. Fauci has been dubbed America’s Doctor and has become one of the most well-known faces amid the pandemic.
The film will include interviews with Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Gates, as well as Bono.
National Geographic Documentary Films on Wednesday announced their latest feature documentary that will focus on America’s top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci.
With exclusive access, the film - simply titled
FAUCI - will deliver a rare glimpse into the long-standing professional career and personal life of this ultimate public servant and American hero, who after a lifetime of public service faced his biggest test: a pandemic whose ferocity is unmatched in modern history.
National Geographic also ordered four
unscripted projects from Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin responsible
for the
Free Solo film, including two documentary films, a 10-episode series,
and a one-hour pilot.
One of these documentary films will be
about 2018 s dramatic rescue of a Thai soccer team who got stuck inside a
flooded cave in northern Thailand with a working title of
Thai Cave Rescue. The
film will have exclusive access and never-before-seen footage from the rescue
and tells the story of the cave divers who challenged the limits of human
potential and became the unlikely heroes of an edge-of-your-seat mission with

Dr. Anthony Fauci is reluctant to reveal his Super Bowl predictions, but he readily shared his warning on the spread of COVID-19 if Americans proceed with unsafe football festivities this Sunday.
“Every time we do have something like this, there always is a spike be it a holiday, Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving,” Fauci told Savannah Guthrie. “As you mentioned, Super Bowl is a big deal in the United States.
“Enjoy the game, watch it on television, but do it with the immediate members of your family, the people in your household,” he said. “As much fun as it is to get together in a big Super Bowl party, now is not the time to do that.”
