CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - As Kamala Harris took her oath to become vice president of the United States, history was also made.
Harris is the first woman to be vice president. Sheâs also the first Black and South Asian to be elected to the role.
âActually watching it was an opportunity to just wow,â said Dr. Meg Gibson. âI am my sisterâs keeper.â
For women and her sorority sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Inauguration Day was about breaking the âglass ceiling.â
