Oxfordshire's Get Radio launches Property Show – RadioToday


Oxfordshire DAB station Get Radio has launched a brand new property show called Home Truths.
The programme is hosted by property professionals, husband and wife Michael and Lucy Joerin, co-founders of bespoke Oxfordshire estate agency Stowhill Estates.
“We’re really excited about the show!” said Lucy. “We’ll be here every Monday evening covering all aspects of the property business – insight and analysis, top tips on buying and selling, how to add value to your home, how to present it for a fast sale.
“We are going to be covering it all, chatting to special guests from the Oxfordshire property world, answering listeners’ questions, and all in an upbeat and fun format alongside musical hits from the past four decades – it is going to be mega!” ....

Demand for industrial and logistics space continues to rocket

Even when you know something to be true, a statistic proving it still has the power to shock. Such is the case when it comes to the huge increase in demand for industrial and logistics space as a result of the Covid pandemic.
Research from Savills, shared exclusively with
Property Week, shows demand in the Midlands in January this year was 223% higher than in January 2020. Across the country, requirements logged in 2020 hit 174m sq ft, 40% of which was for between 100,000 sq ft and 300,000 sq ft and 37% for more than 500,000 sq ft.
But as we start to emerge from lockdown, how likely is it that such high levels of demand will be maintained? And has the market come anywhere near meeting occupier requirements? ....

School bus driver died after car skidded on ice and crashed into his vehicle, court hears

A school bus driver was killed after a car skidded on ice and hit his vehicle, a court has ruled.
Ian Fordyce suffered fatal injuries after his bus carrying 13 Lathallan School pupils was hit by an Audi near Maryculter Bridge in December 2017.
Four ambulances, four special operations retrieval unit and a paramedic response unit were sent to the scene on the B9077 South Deeside Road, along with five fire appliances.
None of the children suffered any serious injuries. ....

Get Radio launches in Oxfordshire
A NEW radio station is launching in Oxfordshire today.
Get Radio will broadcast for the first time on DAB Digital Radio across Oxfordshire and online at Getradio.co.uk.
Presenters of the new station will be speaking to people across the county who make the communities tick, giving a platform to business owners, MPs and councillors, key workers and others who are the backbone of Oxfordshire.
The normal programme for the station will kick-start at 6am on January 4 with the breakfast show presented by Rich Smith.
Music from the last four decades will then be played throughout the day with breaks for traffic and travel news bulletins from Radio News Hub. ....
