Detectives in Stuart revisit 36-year-old cold case


In a WPBF 25 News exclusive investigation, detectives on the Treasure Coast are hoping that a questionable police report could generate new leads in a missing person case that has sat cold for 36 years. Decades have gone by since Gregg Haskall, 19, disappeared, and the original case is shrouded in mystery.“It seems like he just disappeared out of thin air,” said Detective Joseph Calderone, with the Stuart Police Department. One day Gregg was there and the next day he was gone, he left his wallet, ID, all his clothes, everything he had just left in the room,” added Calderone.New detectives with the Stuart Police Department recently took over the case and are giving it a fresh set of eyes, revisiting details that original detectives may not have seen. Women actually face a higher risk of eye issues than men for various reasons. With April being Women s Eye Health month, one New Jersey eye doctor explains why this is so and what can be done about it.
According to The American Academy of Ophthalmology, women account for 65% of cases of age-related macular degeneration, 61% of glaucoma cases and 66% of the world s blindness population.
