HBCU Heroes, a non-profit (501C3) founded by marketing CEO, Tracey Pennywell and NBA veteran, George Lynch, continues Secure The Bag Career Fest, a virtual summer series that takes place monthly, on each second Friday, from
May 14th-August 13th at 1 pm ET. Participants can expect panels dedicated to diversifying the HBCU talent pool, featuring an array of CEOs, executives, and HR/hiring managers lending their voices to support Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) for students seeking career opportunities. This is the time of the year when the Stoneham Historical Society & Museum is typically poised for what is one of our most important and popular programs. Every third grade classroom, their teacher and chaperones embark on a scheduled Field Trip trek to the Museum and Ten Footer located at 36 William St. in Stoneham.
They are cheerfully welcomed and invited inside the museum for a chance to briefly step back in time.
Under the excellent guidance of the Third Grade School Program Coordinator, Cheryl Werlin and her amazing cadre of retired educators and other experienced volunteers, students are divided into smaller groups and receive a tour of the many exhibits which also includes a Scavenger Hunt.
Wine Festival in Wildwood
Love vino? Then itâs time to head to Wildwood, as the Pour Into Summer Wine Festival will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 22 and 23, at Byrne Plaza in Wildwood. Attendees can relax and enjoy over 100 refreshing New Jersey wines plus live music, artisan crafters and delicious eats served up by some of the best local food trucks.
Wineries on site include DiMatteo Vineyards, Terra Nonno Winery, Salem Oak Vineyards, White Horse Winery, Villari Vineyards and Wagonhouse Winery.
