Les Martin (here also serving as a producer and lead actor) and Paul Murphy, is set in Dublin over the course of four days and follows the misfortunes of two petty-criminal cousins, Ste (Martin) and Weed ( Declan Mills), who receive a temporary release from prison. Sligo s coastline will feature heavily in a short film about surfing that is included in the line-up for this year s Dublin International Film Festival. Ebb and Flow features the experiences of three fearless females and their passion for surfing the waves off the west coast of Ireland. Filmmaker Alice Ward captures the mystical relationship these women have with the power and magnitude of the Atlantic Ocean s surf. Alice, originally from Dublin, moved to Sligo when she completed her multimedia degree at DCU. It was a spur of the moment decision, but one she has certainly not lived to regret.
