– According to a report by Fightful Select, WWE referee Drake Wuertz was suspended earlier this and has had his job duties reduced in recent moments. Previously, Wuertz served as the head referee in NXT. That role currently belongs to Darryl Sharma. After WWE suspended Wuertz earlier this year, he was for a “short period of time” not allowed to reenter the Capitol Wrestling Center. WWE officials were reportedly “horrified” after reading an article by David Bixenspan on Wuertz that was published last November titled, “WWE appears to have a Drake Wuertz problem.” The article spotlights Wuertz’s alleged support for far-right wing groups and baseless Q-Anon conspiracy theories. ....

Younger has found himself caught up in some controversies in recent months and now Fightful Select reports that he had his duties reduced at one point. Younger previously worked as the head referee of NXT, but Darryl Sharma is now working that role. Younger was also considered for the job of timing NXT matches, but officials ended up offering the job to Scott Armstrong, who was briefly furloughed by the company. WWE Hall of Famer and Producer “Road Dogg” Brian James was said to be instrumental in getting his brother Scott back into the fold. Younger was also not offered the back-up timing position, which can and has also led to timing matches for WWE 205 Live. DA Brewer has taken over those duties instead. ....

Gonzalez and Blackheart opened. Blackheart was flattened by an early body block, then worked into a sleeper until Gonzalez tossed her off. Moon tagged herself in and went for a waistlock but got hit with a back elbow. Moon tried to work into an octopus but Gonzalez turned it into a sidewalk slam. Faces made the tag and still couldn’t ground G ....
– Depositions for the Sonya Deville / Phillip A. Thomas stalker case start next week. Thomas remains incarcerated in Florida after attempting to kidnap Deville last August. Wrestling Inc. learned that Thomas had virtual court and Deville’s protection order was extended. The next court date for the extension is May 6th at 9am. – Wrestling Inc. learned that WWE referee Darryl Sharma was recently promoted to “Senior Official.” Sharma is now in charge of NXT / NXT UK referee duties including making their schedules and assignments, as well as coaching them. – FOX 35 has a story at this link about Robert Stone’s F45 gym in Balwin Park, Florida. The facility is officially open, and will have its grand opening on February 13th. Stone first announced the opening of the gym last August, which he owns with wife Tara Strauss. Robert told FOX 35 that Tara first introduced him to F45. ....
