U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- Gun control groups want to study gun owners like some sort of caged laboratory animal. They want to poke and prod. University professors want to ask questions, theorize and understand the answers to their foundational question: why don’t gun owners just give up their guns?
The University of Connecticut is boasting of a collaborative effort with Johns Hopkins University Center for Gun Violence Research Center “to conduct a comprehensive survey on the harms and benefits of firearm polices for gun owners.”

The Vallejo Police Department provided more details on Thursday into the city’s seventh homicide that killed a 15-year-old on Wednesday.
At approximately 5:52 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to reports of multiple shots fired in the 200 block of Maine Street in South Vallejo. Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Tragically, the juvenile victim was declared deceased at the scene by Vallejo fire medical personnel.
The juvenile victim’s identity is being withheld.
At the scene of the incident, there were numerous people seen running in the area immediately after the shooting, according to a VPD news release.

The annual cost of medical treatment for survivors of gun injuries in the United States amounts to at least $1 billion, according to a report by a federal watchdog.
The Government Accountability Office (GAO), Congress nonpartisan investigative body, used recent hospital data that showed injuries from gun violence led to 50,000 emergency room visits and 30,000 hospital stays per year.
