COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) â A man arrested last November after he fired a rifle at a Matteson Township home during a domestic dispute was sentenced on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court. As part of a plea bargain agreement, 28-year-old Travis McCann entered guilty pleas to aggravated stalking as well as to a count of possession of less than 25 grams of a controlled substance in an unrelated case. He was given concurrent nine month jail sentences on the two charges with 143 days credit for time already served. He was also ordered to serve five years on probation for the aggravated stalking count with a concurrent 24 months of probation on the drug charge. ....

A court spokesperson says 28-year-old Travis McCann entered guilty pleas to aggravated stalking as well as to a count of possession of less than 25 grams of a controlled substance in an unrelated case. In exchange for the guilty pleas, all other charges in the two cases will be dismissed which includes counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, felony firearm and discharging a weapon from a vehicle. McCann is scheduled to be sentenced on April 19. ....

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) â The case of a man who has been charged in connection with a shooting incident in Matteson Township last month has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court. 28-year-old Travis McCann waived his preliminary exam which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday in District Court. Prosecutors have also dropped a charge of assault with intent to murder. For now, McCann is facing counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, felony firearm and aggravated stalking. McCann also had his $100,000 bond revoked when it was determined he tried to contact the alleged victim through a third party which violated one of the terms of his bond. ....
