To the Editor: For government officials who continually state, âFollow the Science,â it is stunning when Gov. Lamont ignores science to rely on hearsay, hypotheticals and assumptions. So it was at the Thursday, April 29, governorâs press conference. The governorâs EOs, including the mask mandate, reach their end on May 19, but Gov. Lamont desperately wants his EOs extended so that he can continue with his control over, and compliance from, us. Sadly, there is nothing scientific in his reasoning. During the press conference a reporter asked him how long he would keep the indoor mask mandate, and what âmetricsâ (aka science) would he use to decide to get rid of it. ....
