Support for Devon's tourism and hospitality sector

A Devon charity is hosting a free online event this week to support those in the county’s hospitality and tourism sector through Covid-19 and recovery.
Devon Communities Together has organised the “Surviving and Thriving in Devon’s Tourism and Hospitality Sector” event on Friday, March 19, as part of its Listening Ear service, which it launched earlier this year in partnership with Devon County Council.
The webinar, from 11:30am-1pm, is specifically designed for those in the sector but those in the supply chain, aligned with the industry, or considering diversification, are very welcome to attend. ....

The charity is involved in varied and important work. As a local Solicitor and being passionate about our fabulous county and community, I jumped at the opportunity to help support it. Every fortnight I shall share news about current projects in these pages.
This year DCT is celebrating its diamond anniversary, 60 years of supporting communities in Devon. To mark this occasion the charity has launched its ‘Devon Diamonds’ campaign, designed to reflect on the past six decades and the people that have worked with the charity to benefit our county’s communities. ....

A Devon charity is launching a pilot ‘Listening Ear’ service to provide a safe space for Devon business owners to chat about the challenges of running a business during a pandemic.
Listening Ear has been developed by a partnership of independent charity Devon Communities Together and Devon County Council, as a response to a need for business owners to have somebody to talk to about their general stresses and concerns, especially if they would rather not talk to their family and friends about these issues. ....
