Actor Reggie Lochard’s character of Harrison is struggling with his insecurities regarding his role as the man in his relationship in the new drama, ‘A for Alpha.’ The character’s internal turmoil over the shift in roles and identity in romance is being highlighted as the movie is playing at such film festivals as the Las Vegas Black Film Festival, where it premiered.

TORONTO The Toronto Black Film Festival is hosting a panel discussion series with a title that speaks to a pervasive problem in the industry: Show Me the Money.
Amid a racial reckoning sparked by the police killing of George Floyd last May, it seems awareness is heightened, and arts organizations are paying attention to systemic racism and barriers facing Black creators in Canada’s film and TV industry, says festival president and founder Fabienne Colas.

2020 is a short film, co-written & starring Sharma MacDonald, an award-winning Canadian actor and filmmaker of Jamaican Parentage. 2020 was born out of the impact, both mentally and emotionally the events of 2020 took on MacDonald herself, who believes there are two pandemics occurring.
