AVERAGE speed cameras are set to be placed on a 50mph stretch of the main A449 between Hartlebury and Ombersley as police clamp down on those flouting the limits. The action – using the latest technology – is the first of its kind in West Mercia and is aimed to improve safety and reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured by changing driver behaviour.
