Michigan Supreme Court didn’t mean for viral judge to shut down YouTube stream

ST JOSEPH COUNTY, MI – The YouTube live stream of a St. Joseph County District Court judge may still come back online, after a misunderstanding between the judge and the Michigan State Court Administrator’s Office.
District Judge Jeffrey Middleton first drew national attention in March, when an attorney noticed a man accused of domestic violence was in the same room as his victim, despite a restraining order. Middleton’s courtroom feed went viral again in May, when a defendant’s inappropriate username showed up on the video. ....
