Rescue dog Minnie settles into her new home with family members Rehoboth Beach Mayor Stan Mills and Marcia Maldeis.
City of Rehoboth Beach Mayor Stan Mills and his wife Marcia Maldeis recently adopted a rescue dog named Minnie from the Brandywine Valley SPCA’s Georgetown campus.
Minnie came to the BVSPCA through its partnership with Tangipahoa Parish Animal Services in Hammond, La. The two organizations are collaborating on a year-long program backed by Best Friends Animal Society to help the Tangi shelter move from a previous 20 percent save rate to 90 percent by the end of the year. ....

Brandywine Valley SPCA partners with Louisiana shelter

Employee sharing, animal relocation, part of effort to save lives
Brandywine Valley SPCA has partnered with Tangipohoa Parish Animal Shelter in Louisiana for a program that will help develop programs and infrastructure to help Tangipohoa increase its life saving rate. Part of the program is Brandywine Valley taking in dogs from the Louisiana shelter, including these puppies who will be put up for adoption at Brandywine’s Georgetown shelter. RYAN MAVITY PHOTOS
