A central Auckland road was closed over lunchtime due to a medical event which left one person in a serious condition.
Two St John crews, one manager and rapid response unit were sent to Karangahape Rd at 11.16am.
One person has been treated and taken to Auckland City Hospital.
Auckland Transport warned drivers that Karangahape Rd between Queen St and Pitt St was closed from around 12pm to 12.30pm.

Several officers of the Excise Headquarters at 353 Rajagiriya - Kotte Road belonging to the Sri Lanka Excise Department have contracted coronavirus.
The Excise Department states that the 1913 Excise Operations Center will be temporarily closed until the 23rd of this month due to the covid infection of several excise officers.
Instead, three new numbers have been introduced.
The numbers are 071 6345291/071 3108507/071 8122333 ....

CANBERRA - Australian authorities have launched an investigation after a recipient of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine developed blood clots.
The 44-year-old Melbourne man was admitted to a hospital recently with a clotting disorder after receiving the vaccine on March 22. This is the first blood clot case recorded in Australia after earlier cases in Europe prompted a number of countries to temporarily suspend the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine. ....
