HE moved to the Federal Public Service as Administrative Officer. Class III, in 1958 and was promoted Permanent Secretary in 1960, and headed in turn the ministries of Defence, Communications, Industries and Finance. He occupied the vital post of the Permanent Secretary, Finance, from 1966 through the years of civil war with all its effects on the country’s finances.
In December 1970 he was appointed Administrative Officer (Principal Grade), and became Secretary to the Federal Military Government and Head of the Federal Civil Service. Alhaji Attah died on June 12, 1972 at the Royal Free Hospital, London. ....

The Ondo State Government on Wednesday said it had cancelled the cross-over services in churches across the state, between December 31 and January 1, as part of efforts to curb the spread of second wave of COVID-19.
The government also postponed the resumption of pupils in primary and secondary schools from Monday, January 4,  2021, to January 18,  2021.
The Chairman, Ondo State Inter-Ministerial Committee on COVID-19,  Prof. Adesegun Fatusi, said this in Akure,  the state capital.
According to him, the committee had extensive interaction with various stakeholders on the need to take proactive measures against the second wave of COVID-19. ....

The Chairman of defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, who reportedly collapsed in the court of Justice Okon Abang the other day, provides a good reason for the gang of Nigerian governors to resist the temptation of dipping their sticky fingers into the pension funds of poor Nigerian workers.
Maina was recently arrested in Niger Republic by a joint team of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and Niger Republic’s intelligence agency operatives after he had jumped bail twice and put his surety, Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno State in the Senate, in harm’s way. ....
