The Bridgewater Council on Aging Cole-Yeaton Senior Center, 10 Wally Krueger Way, is partially opening the building to the community. For more information, call 508-697-0929.
The Senior Center reopening schedule is listed below. Masks are required. Bathroom use is permitted. Ten people per program. Walk-ins are not permitted. To register, call 508-697-0929 or email seniorcenter@bridgewaterma.org.
Monday: Senior Painters at 10 a.m., Movie Matinee at 2 p.m. and BSU Senior College at 2 p.m.
Tuesday: Zumba at 8 a.m. and Drumming Up Fitness at 2 p.m.
Wednesday: No classes, cleaning day ....

Oxford Senior Center Now Allowing Shot Recipients into Center

All members who have had their second Covid-19 vaccine may enter the center. At least 2 weeks must have passed since receivingÂ the last vaccination.Â Bring a copy ofÂ the CDC card for confirmation.
All membersÂ must be fully vaccinated if they wish to partake in any indoor programs or events at the center.
Social distancing will remain in effect and masks must be properly worn at all times. Strict cleaning and sanitizing protocols will be applied in all settings throughout the day.
Indoor programs, presentations, and classes will be offered with limited participants in order to comply with state social distancing regulations. ....

In our small bubble of five, my family reserves mealtime for the most serious and profound conversations. For instance, recently the discussion centred around how to open those flimsy produce bags at the grocery store when you can’t lick your finger. One of us even sheepishly admitted that she unconsciously tried licking her finger through her mask. That was when the young produce employee sidled up to her and asked if she would like some help. I piped in with a tried and true solution: rub the top of the bag vigorously between your palms and the sides almost always separate. Of course this conversation led to a related one – how to separate coffee filters. I wonder how many obscenities get muttered as we pick, pick, pick at the top of the clump trying to loosen just one. I immediately thought of those rubber finger tips the employees used to use in banks and offices – wouldn’t those work perfectly? Something to keep your eye out for as you browse yard ....
