Portage Police Department investigating suspicious death of elderly resident By Will Kriss Jul 26, 2021 | 4:12 PM PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) â Police in Portage have announced that they are investigating the death of an elderly resident, the circumstances of which are considered suspicious. Around 7 p.m. Sunday, Portage Department of Public Safety Police and Fire Divisions responded to a residence in the 5000 block of Glencove Court for an unresponsive male. Once on scene, officers located the 82-year old male resident deceased inside. Police say evidence found at the scene was suspicious in nature and indicated signs of violence. As this investigation is in the early stages, there is no further information at this time. ....
