Dr O’Loughlin, intensive care consultant at the Mater hospital in Dublin, said the “real worry” was how to deal with Covid-19 alongside patients coming in in other medical emergencies such as heart attacks and road traffic incidents. “We may not have a bed for them in the intensive care,” he said.
