The west branch of the Saint John Free Public Library is on the move over the coming weeks.
But frequent users of the library in Lancaster Mall will not have to go far to find its new home.
The branch is relocating to a newly renovated space inside the mall on Fairville Boulevard next to Walmart.
“We’re very, very, very excited,” said Laura Corscadden, city librarian for the Saint John Free Public Library. ....

Lancaster Mall Undergoing 'Partial Redevelopment'

Big changes are coming to Lancaster Mall in west Saint John, according to the company that manages the shopping centre.
Strathallen recently announced that the 235,000-square-foot mixed-use shopping will undergo a “partial redevelopment” over the coming months.
A “national fitness provider” is expected to occupy 15,000 square feet of space next to No Frills and Bank of Montreal.
“A highly sought-after but scarce service, we are excited to introduce this service to Saint John’s west-end,” Strathallen said
Construction will occur over the coming months with a grand opening expected to take place before the end of the year. ....
