Memories of My Hometown: A Virtual Visit to Brush, Colorado We all have memories of the place we grew up and sometimes it s enjoyable to take a stroll down memory lane. Do you ever think about your hometown and those growing up years? You might have grown up in Grand Junction or Delta, a big city, or some small-town six states away. Regardless of where you ve come from, there is something special about hometown memories. My best memories are from a small Colorado town called Brush. I Wasn t Born There, But It s Definitely My Hometown I was born in Durango, but only lived there for three years. My family moved to Brush in 1974 and my dad is still there so for more than 45 years it s been the place I call home.

Two vehicles were identified as stolen, while the third was a cloned to appear as a fleet vehicle for an oil and energy company. All three vehicles are believed to have been used in criminal activity. The first incident occurred late afternoon on February 26, when agents from the Cotulla Station responded to suspicious activity involving a white Dodge Ram. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was advised, encountered the vehicle traveling north on Interstate Highway 35 (IH-35), and attempted to conduct a vehicle stop. The vehicle failed to yield and drove through a ranch perimeter fence before the occupants fled into the brush.

Dispatched at 4:24 a.m. to the area of Malibu Canyon and Malibu Knolls roads, firefighters stopped the forward progress of the fire at 5:43 a.m., according to a county fire department dispatcher. The California Highway Patrol issued a traffic advisory a little after 6 a.m. closing Malibu Canyon Road at Piuma Road for an unknown duration, due to the fire. The City of Malibu reported at 5:45 a.m. that Pacific Coast Highway, between Corral Canyon to Carbon Canyon roads, and Malibu Canyon Road from Pacific Coast Highway to Piuma Road had been closed due to the brush fire.

(WAFF) - A brush pile that consists of limbs, pieces of trees, small brush and other miscellaneous items spontaneously combusted at a landfill in Hartselle on February 13, said city officials. According to council members, Hartselle Public Works and Hartselle Fire & Rescue began limiting the exposure of the fire and are working countless hours to extinguish the combustion. Officials said an Alabama Department of Environmental Management representative has been on site and offered suggestions and both Public Works and Hartselle Fire have been following the recommendations to solve the issue. With the burning beginning internally, the temperature has been extremely high, and caution and safety must be practiced by both Public Works employees as well as Hartselle Fire personnel.

By the time the last ember went out, the fire burned more than 139,000 acres â the largest in Colorado history before being overtaken by fires later in the season. Rehabilitation efforts are planned over the next year, including these seed drops. âLocally, it is the largest fire we have ever had,â Bureau of Land Managements spokesperson Eric Coulter said. âA lot of the processes are the same, itâs just on a larger scale. That means more resources, higher costs and more personnel.â
