The Young Marines, a national youth organization, announced the National Young Marine of the Year - YM/SgtMaj Mario Koch, 17, of North Olmsted, Ohio. He is a member of the Greater Cleveland Young Marines from Fairview Park, Ohio. Koch is a junior at North Olmsted High School.
Koch is the top Young Marine in the United States. Over the course of the year, he will travel to other units throughout the country to lead, motivate, and serve as a role model for other Young Marines.
As National Young Marine of the Year, Koch will escort WWII veterans to the annual Reunion of Honor trip to Guam and Iwo Jima in the fall of 2021. ....

The Young Marines, a national youth organization, announced the Division 4 Young Marine of the Year â Sgt. Maj. William Jenson, 16, of Azle.Â
He is a member of the Tarrant County Young Marines from Fort Worth, under the command of Dan Hall. Jenson is a sophomore at Excel Academy.
Division 4 includes nine states: Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. Over the course of the year, as Young Marine of the Year, Jenson will travel to other units throughout the division to lead, motivate and serve as a role model for other Young Marines. ....

PLAINFIELD, Conn. MaKayla Barstow, age 15 from the Moosup section of Plainfield, has been awarded the Young Marines youth organization s highest honor, one that will take her halfway around the world.
As Division 1 Young Marine of the Year , Barstow will escort WWII veterans in March 2021 to the annual Reunion of Honor trip which takes place in Guam and Iwo Jima. The island of Iwo Jima is open only one day each year for this special reunion of Japanese and American veterans. ....
