More than 9,800 companies with French capital, on Romanian market, end-January

The number of companies with French capital in Romania has increased, with 9,847 French companies registered at the end of January this year, with a total subscribed share capital of 2.38 billion euros, said the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), Mihai Daraban, who met on Monday with the French ambassador in Bucharest, Laurence Auer.
The meeting was organized at the request of the Embassy of the French Republic and aimed to analyse the stage of economic cooperation between the two states, as well as to identify ways in which bilateral trade relations can be stimulated. ....

554,331 women shareholders or associates in Romania companies at end-January

The number of female shareholders or associates in the companies established in Romania was 554,331 at the end of January 2021, with a share of 37,21 pct in total shareholders or associates, according to data from the National Trade Register Office (ONRC), as reported by AGERPRES.
According to the centralized data, male shareholders or associates were 935,389 (62.79 pct) 1,042,396 active companies in Romania at the end of January.
The total number of individual authorised persons (associates or shareholders) was almost 1.49 million in the above-mentioned month.
The ONRC statistics show that the highest percentage of female shareholders/associates were in the counties of Tulcea 41.48 pct (4,649 women), Galati 40.85 pct (11,337 women) and Hunedoara - 40.60 pct (9. 708 women), and the smallest in Harghita - 32.35 pct (5,791 women), Botosani - 35.32 pct (4,080 women) and Bistrita - Nasaud - 35,58 pct (6,841 women). ....

Trade Register: Almost 52,000 companies deleted last year

The number of companies deleted at a national level has gone down last year by almost 49%, in comparison with 2019, to up to 51,715 deletions, according to the National Trade Register Office (ONRC).
On activity areas, the largest number of deletions was registered in the retail and wholesale commerce, vehicle and motorcycle repairs - 14,017 (minus 53,18% reported to 2019), constructions - 4,844 (minus 48.51%) and professional, scientific and technical activities - 4,510 (minus 43.77%).
In the month of December 2020 there were 5,800 deletions registered, most in Bucharest (1024) and the counties of Timis (317), Cluj (303), Constanta (259) and Iasi (225).
