Together, the partners have strong expertise in all parts of the offshore wind value chain from development, production, and route to market.
Equinor, RWE Renewables and Hydro REIN have signed a collaboration agreement for offshore wind in Norway. The partners will jointly prepare and submit an application to the Norwegian authorities to develop a large-scale bottom-fixed offshore wind farm in the Sørlige Nordsjø II area in the Norwegian North Sea.
The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has opened two areas for offshore renewables (Utsira Nord and Sørlige Nordsjø II) and is currently working on the licensing process for offshore wind power projects in Norway. The area borders the Danish sector in the North Sea and is ideally located for supply of electricity to Europe. ....

NDIC boss charges ICAN member-auditors on accuracy, integrity

Managing Director, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Bello Hassan, has charged professional auditors who are members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) to uphold the core values of accuracy and integrity in order to earn public confidence and respect within the financial services industry.
Hassan said this during a courtesy visit by the ICAN National President who was represented by one of the Council Members, Mrs Sofura Seghosime and Chairman of Abuja District, Mrs Bosede Ikhanoba and other ICAN Executive Members to the NDIC head office in Abuja.
He explained that both the NDIC and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) relied on the works of third parties which include external auditors and reporting accountants in the Risk-Based Supervision (RBS) of deposit-taking institutions. ....

Inger Sethov, executive vice president Communication & Public Affairs, has decided to leave Hydro to become chief communication officer for Norwegian retail company Reitan Handel AS.
The process to find a replacement has started. Sethov will stay on until a successor is in place, until June 30 at the latest.
Inger Sethov has worked in Hydro since 2005, as head of Communication since 2008 and as executive vice president for Communication & Public Affairs and part of the Corporate Management Board since 2015.
