Watertown Mayor Talks About Decision to Hire Amanda Mack

Watertown, SD (KICD)– The City Council in Watertown, South Dakota hired Spencer City Manager Amanda Mack for a similar position last week and Mayor Sarah Caron tells KICD News there is a reason the choice was unanimous.
Caron tells us the decision was made to change government types in Watertown to give the community of 22-thousand residents some professional continuity through mayoral administrations.
The change will take effect July 1st with the City of Watertown hoping to have Mack on the job by mid-June.
