About 100 people gathered in Downtown Boise Tuesday night to protest Israel’s most recent bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
One of the demonstrators Tuesday night was Emad Adwalla, a retired engineer whose grandfather fled Jerusalem in 1948 after Israel was declared a State. He and others at the rally condemned what he sees as Israeli human rights abuses in Gaza.
“This is basically people feeling frustrated,” Adwalla said, “And feeling like they need to voice their voices so that the rest of the community can hear that there are some people amongst us that stand for what’s going on in Gaza.” ....

For more than a century, optical coatings have been used to better reflect certain wavelengths of light from lenses and other devices or, conversely, to better transmit certain wavelengths through them. For example, the coatings on tinted eyeglasses reflect, or block out, harmful blue light and ultraviolet rays.
But until now, no optical coating had ever been developed that could simultaneously reflect and transmit the same wavelength, or color. ....

'97 Percent' Group Plans COVID-19 Memorial For Idahoans Lost From The Pandemic

Even as vaccinations for COVID-19 are happening, Idaho is still being hit hard by the pandemic. Since March Idaho has had 123,517 confirmed cases of the virus, while the death toll for our state is more than 1,500.
That means more than 1,500 hundred families are coping with the loss of a loved one. So to honor those who have died, a statewide memorial is being planned for Jan. 14 to remember them.
