'I'll stab you': Victim resuscitated after knifed four times

A 19-year-old man has heard how his victim had to be revived after he was stabbed four times.
Ethan James Voller stabbed a man four times and hit a girl over the head with a bottle of rum after a fight in Buderim on January 6, 2020.
Crown prosecutor Alex Stark told the court Voller stabbed his first victim, who had tried to break up the fight in the forearm and back.
The (victim) did not realise he d been injured, but he heard â¦ (Voller) say and I ll quote I ve stabbed you, you dumb C â¦ t stop , Mr Stark said. ....

Reports compiled over more than a decade show the evolution of a controversial public transport proposal currently up for community comment.
Sunshine Coast Council s mass transit plans have been in the works for more than a decade with several iterations of the proposal published in a series of reports and documents that have led to this point - an eight-week public consultation period to help direct a final report for the council.

From new housing developments to deals for major events, here are six key decisions made by Sunshine Coast Council on Thursday.

Sunshine Coast Council has locked in a three-season sponsorship agreement with Sunshine Coast Lightning.
Council has been a partner with the Lightning since the club s inception five years ago.
According to the council, in that time the franchise has generated an economic impact of about $100 million for the region.
Councillors voted unanimously in support of a three-season sponsorship agreement, however contract terms and conditions were kept confidential.

Developer hits pause button on controversial village

Developers of a controversial proposed retirement village near Nambour have pressed pause on their bid after Sunshine Coast Council raised a number of concerns with the project.
Andrew and Jo Pitcher of Highgate Developments lodged a development application last year for a 275-home retirement village on Savilles Road at Highworth.
The village, named Grove Retirement, has attracted strong opposition from a group of locals who have retained a prominent Coast lawyer in a bid to fight the proposal.
Town planners emailed the council on behalf of the Pitchers on April 20 to stop the clock for 15 business days to allow time for them to respond to a request from the council for more information. ....
