Rob Morgan has proven dedication to Lewes

April 30, 2021
Councilman Rob Morgan, candidate for re-election to Lewes City Council, has earned our continuing support.
On recent issues before the council, Rob has been the sole voice of reason.  For example, Rob has made clear his opposition to the development of the Fourth Street Forest (land under city, not county, jurisdiction, and occasionally under water), and the skyrocketing police budget (cost of souped-up automobiles and additional personnel).  With his election and the election of others of like mind, we may be able to keep our small historic city from becoming the “down-town” center of a vast bedroom community. ....

Re-election of Morgan important for Lewes

Norma Morrison
April 30, 2021
Rob Morgan has been our voice on Lewes City Council. With mounting pressures to develop in a climate of environmental change, we need to re-elect Rob Morgan to vote our best interests and those of our coastal city.
Rob is an effective advocate for our core value of protecting Lewes from overdevelopment. This is well documented by his voting record with the Lingo-Townsend shopping center, the Fourth Street Forest, “the Brittingham parcel,” “the Groome Church parcel,” and the Jones Farm.
Rob remains focused on environmental issues that are so critical to our well-being as a coastal community, such as sea-level rise, near-term flooding, and saltwater intrusion into our drinking water.  He also is deeply concerned about more easily controlled quality-of-life issues such as neighbor noise control. ....

Morgan's experience in Lewes speaks for itself

Connie Costigan and Michael Krausz
April 22, 2021
We urge voters to re-elect Rob Morgan.  If re-elected he will be the only council person, other than the mayor, with more than one year’s council service to Lewes.  We need an experienced person who is responsive to his constituents.  Rob has served on many committees and understands the complexities of issues facing the council.
Rob regularly provides a newsletter of what is going on in Lewes, Sussex County and the state, that affects Lewes.  He has a record of trying to protect Lewes from overdevelopment, such as his work on the Lingo-Townsend shopping center, the Fourth Street Forest, the Lewes Waterfront Preserve, Tower Hill and the Jones Farm.  Rob is a strong supporter of our volunteer commissions. ....

Councilman Rob Morgan and newcomer Carolyn Jones have each filed to run in the 2021 Lewes municipal election in May.
Morgan is seeking his fourth term on council, while Jones looks to fill the seat vacated by Deputy Mayor Bonnie Osler, who announced earlier this year she would not seek re-election.
The election is set for Saturday, May 8.
