THE sun reared its lovely head for the Isle of Wight Pony Club's (IWPC) annual open show at the weekend.
Held at George’s Field, the event welcomed many guests for a day of pony riding and fun.
The occasion presented an opportunity for the IWPC to showcase its sand school, lovingly repaired and resurfaced through grants from the IW Sports Foundation and Magic Little Grants from the Postcode Community Trust.

Museum of Ceramics 40 + 1 Anniversary celebration | News, Sports, Jobs

May 13, 2021
20 professional artists from around Ohio will be setting up their easels in Downtown East Liverpool Saturday, May 15th, 2021 to kick off the Museum of Ceramics’ “40+1” Anniversary Celebration. (40+1 as the Museum’s 40th Anniversary Celebration had to be postponed due to Covid-19 last year.) Outdoor painters from the Ohio Plein Air Society (ohiopleinairsociety.com) and the Eastern Ohio Plein Air Club will check in at the Museum and be painting throughout the Downtown area from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Many of the artists attending have received national and regional recognition for their works. The paintings created will then be on display and for sale outside the Museum from 3 p.m. until about 4:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the Museum. The event is receiving support locally from Tim Horton’s and nationally from Golden Artist Colors, Judson’s Art Outfitters and Streamline Publications.

GREENFIELD — It appears the city is back to where it began several years ago when it comes to deciding what should be done with an historic landmark — the First National Bank building on Bank Row.
The Greenfield Redevelopment Authority, Friends of First National Bank and MassDevelopment have been working together to find an answer to how feasible it would be to redevelop the long-dormant bank building, after finishing a study on the topic. Peg Barringer, director of economic development consulting and a partner of FinePoint Associates in eastern Massachusetts, presented the results Wednesday night.
