On Monday, the FDA expanded its emergency-use authorization for COVID-19 vaccinations to include adolescents. Children ages 16 and older previously were approved for the vaccine intended to reduce the chances of becoming ill from the coronavirus.
At this point, children ages 12 to 17 years only are allowed to receive the Pfizer vaccine, according to information on the city Department of Health and Mental Hygiene website. ....
