Many of these honored athletes and coaches are headed to the
2021 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Men’s Track Athlete of the Year
GREAT LAKES REGION – Tony Floyd – Madonna (Mich.)
Floyd, a senior from Westland, Michigan, is ranked first nationally in the 5000 at 14:24.32 and second nationally in the 10,000 at 30:06.89. He completed the distance sweep at the WHAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, winning the 5000 and 10,000.
MIDWEST REGION – Matthew Van Eps – Dordt (Iowa)
Van Eps, a senior from Prinsburg, Minnesota, is ranked second nationally in the 800 at 1:49.59 and is undefeated in that event, including a victory at the Drake Relays. He completed the 800-1500 sweep at the GPAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships and has 15 total first-place finishes this season. ....

Dordt (Iowa) claim the top spots in Week 5. The only change this week came from the Crusaders and the Broncos trading places.
William Carey continued to improve its standing in the National TFRI on the strength of five marks that rank within the top-10 nationally at the Carey Indoor Qualifier:
Aniekeme Etim holds the national lead in the 60 (7.38);
Fredricka Mckenzie is No. 3 in the 60 (7.51);
Nevagant Jones is No. 3 in the triple jump (12.11m/39-8¾) and No. 8 in the long jump (5.67m/18-7¼). The aforementioned Jones was a contributing leg of the 4×400 that clocked the No. 3 time in 3:53.81. ....

Saint Mary (Kan.) reside in the top-5. The Wildcats are the lone change in the top-5, as they improved three spots from its No. 7.
Indiana Wesleyan earned six new or improved marks that rank in the top-5 nationally.
Landon Miller in the mile (No. 1, 4:08.42c/4:11.59) and the 5000 (14:18.08/14:27.27);
Steven Ott in the 1000 (No. 3, 2:27.42c/2:29.45) and 800 (No. 4, 1:53.35c/1:54.97);
Scott Rathbun in the pole vault (No. 3, 4.90m/16-¾);
Charlie Young in the 600 (No. 4, 1:19.93c/1:21.13).
