HOLLIDAYSBURG Non-union pay increases linked to Blair County’s salary study will stay on hold for now, the majority of the county salary board members agreed Thursday.
Despite member Laura Burke’s request for the board to address study recommendations for non-union employees, fellow salary board members Bruce Erb, A.C. Stickel and Amy Webster said they weren’t ready without knowing more about the cost to the county.
“We don’t know the fiscal impact,” Webster said. “My concern is that it may be greater than what we expect and possibly more than our taxpayers can bear.” ....
