Adam Loker, recent Wayne City High School graduate and member of the Wayne City FFA Chapter, was elected State FFA President yesterday at the State FFA Convention. He was Section 23 President this past year and graduated as a co-valedictorian from Wayne City in May. The Wayne County Board met last night and heard from County Highway Engineer Dennis Seidel, who said a team from IDOT had concluded a site visit at the intersection of Enterprise Road and Route 161. Gov. JB Pritzker signs sweeping police reform, criminal justice overhaul bill, despite opposition from law enforcement


CHICAGO (WLS) Governor JB Pritzker signed a sweeping police reform bill into law Monday.
Pritzker signed House Bill 3653, also known as the Police and Criminal Justice Reform Bill, at Chicago State University on the South Side.
This bill was infused with the power of individuals most directly impacted, survivors of domestic violence, survivors of crime and those who have been detained pre-trial only because they are poor. We are a stronger state when we lift up these voices, Governor Pritzker said.
