WHEREAS, on March 7, 2020, I issued Executive Order Number 202, declaring a State disaster emergency for the entire State of New York; and
WHEREAS, both travel-related cases and community contact transmission of COVID-19 have been documented in New York State and are expected to continue;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ANDREW M. CUOMO, Governor of the State of New York, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the Laws of the State of New York, do hereby find that a disaster continues to exist for which affected state agencies and local governments are unable to respond adequately. Therefore, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Constitution of the State of New York and Section 28 of Article 2-B of the Executive Law, I hereby continue for thirty days the declaration of the State Disaster Emergency effective March 7, 2020, as set forth in Executive Order 2 ....

DECLARING A DISASTER IN THE COUNTIES OF ALBANY, BROOME, CHENANGO, COLUMBIA, DELAWARE, DUTCHESS, GREENE, MONTGOMERY, ORANGE, OTSEGO, RENSSELAER, SARATOGA, SCHENECTADY, SCHOHARIE, SULLIVAN, TIOGA, ULSTER, WASHINGTON AND CONTIGUOUS COUNTIES
WHEREAS, on December 16, 2020, and continuing thereafter, a Nor’easter has impacted New York State, posing an imminent danger to vital public transportation, utility service, public health, and public safety systems within the counties of Albany, Broome, Chenango, Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Greene, Montgomery, Orange, Otsego, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Sullivan, Tioga, Ulster, Washington, and contiguous counties.

Governor Updates New Yorkers On Preparations Ahead of Winter Storm Poised to Bring Heavy Snow, Wind and Hazardous Travel Conditions Across Much of the State


38 snow blowers 
To support snow and ice activities in critical areas, a total of 180 additional upstate staff, including: 164 plow truck operators, 8 equipment operator instructors, and 8 mechanics; and 4 mechanic service trucks are being deployed. They are distributed as follows:
The Capital Region will be receiving 2 mechanics and 1 mechanic service truck
The Mid-Hudson Region will be receiving 67 plow operators, 4 equipment operator instructors, 2 mechanics and 1 mechanic service truck
The Southern Tier will be receiving 12 plow operators, 2 equipment operator instructors
Long Island will be receiving 85 plow operators, 2 equipment operator instructors, 4 mechanics, 2 mechanic service trucks
