The second round features 16 games both on Saturday and Sunday, May 8-9, with the winners advancing to one of four regional sites the following weekend. The semifinals and finals take place May 22-23 at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Virginia where the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the City of Salem will serve as hosts for the championship event. FIRST ROUND PREVIEW Sixth-ranked Catholic (9-0) returns to the tournament for the 12th time and takes on Becker (8-4). The Cardinals are unbeaten in first round games (7-0) and have advanced to the regional semifinals five-straight times, while the Hawks are making their first appearance in NCAA postseason play. ....

It s been very meaningful to spend a lot of my life coaching men s lacrosse at Gettysburg College, stated Janczyk. It has been an honor to coach and work with all of the many young men that have come into my life. I thank you for your patience with me; even with all of my faults, you managed to grow into some of the finest people I ve ever known. It s been a privilege to work with so many great colleagues, some have even become my best friends for life. ....

The Eagles hit a national-leading mark in the 4×100 relay at 46.36, the third-fastest mark in the 4×400 relay at 3:46.66 and the third-fastest mark in the 100H from Emma Lawrence at 14.10. Loras held steady at No. 3, right behind No. 2 Ithaca. The Duhawks soared at the Wartburg Outdoor Friday Night Lights, as they received a national-leading mark from Terrianna Black in the triple jump at 12.28m (40-3½) and saw their 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams snag national top-3 marks themselves (No. 2 for the latter; No. 3 for the former). ....

In his 12 years at the helm of the program, Faith has led the Diplomats to a 130-32 record, a pair of Centennial Conference Championships (2015 & 2017) and back-to-back NCAA Semifinal appearances (2016-17). “The tone is set from the time our athletes are juniors in high school,” said Faith. “I recruit we players, not me players and selfless players, not selfish players.” This culture has allowed athletes to get better, max out potential and be supportive teammates both on and off the field. In his tenure at F&M, Faith has coached 20 All-Americans, 34 All-Region honorees, and 43 All Conference student-athletes. ....
