Burton Bradstock and Chideock covers a large area, which includes parishes and villages such as Eype, Melplash, Netherbury, Nettlecombe while Yetminster, Bradford Abbas and Longburton include the villages of Sandford Orcas, Nether Compton, Mudford, Holnest and Holwell.
Yetminster, Bradford Abbas and Longburton area has reported no coronavirus cases according to latest figures.
Both areas cover large land and a number of parishes, meaning the spread of Covid-19 around these areas is less than in a more enclosed urban area. Dorset Council agrees extra trading hours for Sherborne business
A DORSET building supplier is being allowed extra trading hours at its Sherborne depot to meet with increased demand.
Bradfords & Sons Ltd of Sheeplands Lane, Barton View, asked Dorset Council to approve a change in hours to between 7am and 6pm on weekdays and 8am until 4pm on Saturdays.
The previous hours were 7.30am to 5pm and 8am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.
Dorset Council decided that the hours were not unreasonable and was unlikely to increase any disturbance to neighbouring properties.
Sherborne Town Council had supported the change and there were no public or statutory objections. ....
